Advanced Placement testing is offered to all students whether or not they are enrolled in a course designated as Advanced Placement. AP coursework will assist students in preparing for the national Advanced Placement tests given in May. The tests are optional and are for those students who wish to earn college credits. Students will register for testing in February.
**New for 2017 AP exams.** Wisconsin Statutes 120.12(22) requires the Greenfield School District to pay the fee for taking Advanced Placement exams for students who qualify for free or reduced priced meals. Students who do not qualify for free or reduced meals must pay their own exam fees.
The cost of each exam during the 2016/2017 school year is $93. You may pay online with a credit card through Infinite Campus, by check (made out to Greenfield High School), or with cash. Cash or check payments must be dropped off at the GHS main office, attn: Ms. Karen Schilz.
Students who choose not to test after they have registered will have the option of reimbursement of all but $25 for each exam. The $25 will be used to cover the unused exam fee with CollegeBoard and to cover the cost of processing the exam.
Please note that students do not automatically receive the same accommodations they get in school, even if they have an IEP or 504 plan. If you believe your student needs accommodations, please contact Mr. Williams by February 10, 2017.
The online registration, payments, and transportation forms must be turned in NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, February 24th at 3:30 p.m. If you have any questions, please call Dave Williams, AP Coordinator, at (414) 855-2413.
The AP Exam registration window in now closed.
